Private Behavioral Training

Addressing behavior issues in your dog early is essential, as the longer unwanted behaviors persist, the more deeply rooted and challenging they become to change.
Our private behavioral consultations are tailored to meet your dog’s unique needs and circumstances. We work closely with you to develop a personalized training plan based on where your dog is behaviorally. These one-on-one sessions are ideal for addressing complex or sensitive issues that require individual attention.
We use evidence-based, positive reinforcement techniques that are grounded in modern behavioral science. Our goal is to build trust, improve communication, and foster a strong relationship between you and your dog. We do not use methods that involve pain, fear, or intimidation. Tools such as choke chains, prong collars, e-collars, and leash corrections are not part of our training philosophy.
Through private lessons, we teach you how to understand your dog’s behavior and see the world from their perspective. By using thoughtful communication—through timing, tone, and body language—we help turn confusion into a deeper, more meaningful connection. Every dog is unique, and we approach each one with creativity and care—discovering what truly motivates them.
These sessions require a commitment to follow safety protocols and practice consistently at home. With your active involvement, meaningful progress is possible.
Private behavioral training is ideal for addressing:
- Stress & Nervousness: Support for dogs who exhibit signs of stress in unfamiliar situations through pacing, panting, or hiding.
- Separation Anxiety: Guidance for dogs who show distress when left alone, including excessive barking, howling, or chewing. Extreme cases may be referred to a separation anxiety consultant.
- Chewing & Destructive Behavior: Redirecting chewing to appropriate outlets and protecting your home from damage.
- Aggressive Displays: Working safely and strategically to manage and modify aggression-related behaviors.
- Major Life Transitions: Support for dogs adjusting to big changes such as moves, new family members, or lifestyle shifts.
- Reactivity Issues: Helping your dog manage their emotional response to specific triggers. This can include barking, lunging, or growling at people or other dogs while on leash, behind fences, through windows, or when someone enters the home.
- Fear and Anxiety: Support and comfort for dogs experiencing fearfulness, restlessness, or destructive behaviors, using gradual exposure and positive reinforcement to build confidence and ease reactions to routine or environmental changes.
Our private sessions are here to support you in building a healthier, more trusting relationship with your dog. Let us help you bring out the best in your relationship with your dog.
