Kensi Herndon

Kensington (Kensi) Herndon, ABCDT

Trainer

Kensi got her start at FDTC through a mentorship program with Animal Behavior College. She jumped into the experience by assisting in and attending several classes, then began helping out in Puppy Day School. She made such a great impression that we brought her on as our newest trainer.

She lives with two dogs who mean the world to her. Oakley is a calm and patient Golden Retriever, and Indigo is a sweet Goldendoodle she’s training with the goal of doing therapy work in the future.

Outside of dog training, Kensi is all about horses. At 18, she bought Ollie, an 8-year-old Thoroughbred, and has been training in jumping with plans to compete more down the road.

Her interest in dog training started when she asked Kelly if she could observe a class to learn more. That first step sparked a real connection to the work, and she’s been pursuing it ever since. Kensi is currently working toward her dog training certification and continues to build her skills every day.

Kensi assists in Tuesday Basic Manners & Obedience, she also does in-home private lessons.
