Don Gamble

Don Gamble

Trainer

Don has known Kelly for years and has been a client of FDTC many times. He spent his career teaching 8th grade social studies for 35 years. During that time he also spent 10 years training search and rescue dogs as a part of K9 Search and Rescue of Kansas. He and his wife also spent the majority of their careers training their own dogs to be certified therapy dogs. Don now volunteers as the lead testing evaluator for Hands and Paws Incorporated, a local therapy animal organization. When Don retired from teaching, he came to Kelly to ask if he could do anything to help out at FDTC and she welcomed him aboard. Don loves to golf in his spare time and also volunteers for the community development board of the downtown YMCA.  He also spends a couple of days a week substitute teaching. His current dog he shares with his wife is Groot the Leonberger.
