Devona Shoemaker

Devona has always loved animals, especially dogs. That passion led her to volunteer at the Kansas Humane Society, where she got hands-on experience with canine behavior programs. She worked closely with two skilled trainers, helping with basic manners and canine courage classes for fearful dogs, which gave her a solid foundation in training.

Her experience with a reactive dog eventually brought her to Kelly and FDTC. Devona enjoyed learning so much that she became a volunteer and now helps out as a class assistant. She really enjoys working with dogs and their people and loves watching families finish classes feeling proud and confident.

Devona is excited to keep learning from every dog and person she meets and is dedicated to growing her skills in this field.

Devona assists in Saturday Basic, Reactive Dog I & II, and Canine Good Citizen.
